Anonymous, you are correct. I did a short ride with another grad student just before I left for Zion (again). I didn't quite make a corner, and crashed into a bush with a ton of spines. The thing is, it was totally slow motion. I knew it was coming, but was too uncoordinated to stop it from happening. I really need to learn how to ride.

ReplyDeleteThat's the reason I don't think I could ever get good at mountain biking--I can not look away when I see an obstacle in my path. So I crash into it.
ReplyDeleteAs far as injuries go, though, those scratches are pretty cool looking. That counts for something.
