You need to get her a Wacom tablet...that would improve her ability even with a simple program like Paint...She can download Gimp...but I thought it was hard to learn...I have Photoshop 7 where she could save a drawing as a .PNG file so it could go on a t-shirt...In fact, she can join RedBubble.com and make money off of t-shirt designs...
she's a clever girl. The adobe suite is awesome. I'm not sure if you teach at a college or not, but you can usually get the educational discount in the bookstore. It's like 100 bucks less than if you bought it retail.
