I had to say goodbye to my kids today. Again. My ex-wife got a job offer and a place to live in Arizona, and felt like she had to take it.
I understand, but it still sucks.
My kids seem to be handling it better than I am though. At least judging by this excerpt from a conversation I had with them last night:
Me: I'm really sad that you guys are moving away from here.
Mr M: Are you going to cry?
Me: Maybe*.
Mr M: Then you're a crybaby!
*Of course I cried**.
**I'm a crybaby.

Wow, that does really suck. Are you so rooted to where you are that you can't seek employment in AZ? I had to live half way around the country from my dad when I was a kid. I was away for over 3 years. It was hard for me as a kid too, so I understand what your kids will be feeling. It's not fun. ::::hug::::
I'm sorry!! That sucks!!! How often will you get to see them now??
I'm crying. :-(
I cried, too.
But now what will you blog about?
major bummer
I'm going to admit that thanks to you I'm now part of the Cry Baby Club. Big hugs honey.
I'm sorry. I'm sad for you and them. I hope that they like the new place. Maybe you can find a job nearby?
Maybe you should re-marry their Mother. That's probably what God wants to happen.
I am so sorry they are moving further away. Feels like we are losing them a little at a time.
Lots of jobs in southern Arizona. Move to Prescott or flagstaff. Ryan
I thought this story was going to be a happily ever after with the children having the badass Vegas upbringing (well, at least for their teen years)!
:(
I'm sorry, Minnow!
I'm sorry! did you ever hear back from that job offer in NM? it's really close to AZ!
Now I'm crying too!!!
