My flying saucer where can you be since that sad night that you sailed away from me

Me (answering the phone): Hello?

Ex-Wife: [Mr M] is crying. Can you please talk to him?

Me: Sure. What's he crying about?

Ex-Wife: He's upset because E.T. went home.

Nevermind the fact that he's a few decades behind the times, I may have to go smack the kid around some to toughen him up a bit.

I read something by a movie critic who admitted he's loved E.T. his whole life but then became enraged later in life when he realized that Steven Speilberg had duped him into loving a puppet with a lightbulb finger.

Tell him to phone ET. :0)

Don't encourage your children to be emotionally constipated. Mr. M had a perfect reaction to the events in ET. Buy him a stuffed animal version of ET if he doesn't get over it. It worked for me. Though my tears still rival Niagra Falls every time I watch that movie...sigh...movie date, my house, Sunday night? Let me know :-) You can see my Halloween decorations!!!

Ignore the comments above, and do what needs to be done.

"Band of Brothers" is the only half-decent thing Spielberg's ever been involved with. Have Mr. M watch that instead.
