Call me on your way back home

Ryan Adams is quitting music, and that makes me sad.

I don't buy it . . . the guy releases an album every time he goes for a loaf of bread. I've got about 6 of them, and although he's a hell of a songwriter, I have a suspicion that he would be annoying as hell to be around on a regular basis.

Manuel, I agree. Well, I think the first two were amazing, and it's been a slow and steady decline ever since, but still, there are at least two or three amazing songs on each one.

Anonymous, I can see that. He's not for everyone.

$2, I'm surprised by it too. I suspect he's just feeling unappreciated, so is going to show us what life is like without him and then he'll make a "comeback" in a few years. Although, if the hearing and balance problems are legit then maybe he ought to just think about recording but not touring. That's probably what I'd do if I were him and started feeling burnt out or whatever.

Oh whatever- he's trying to stir up publicity with this, and it's obviously working. I would be VERY surprised if he actually quits music.
