Going on 3

I've mentioned here before that my diet sucks. I just thought I'd prove it by showing some of the items I picked up on a recent trip to the grocery store.

I should point out that the Cadbury Creme Eggs didn't make it this far. By the way, I'm 30, and my kids live 6 hours away.

Ok the reeses puffs, pudding, and circus animals are ok and make your point, but the scooby doo snacks go a little too far. That's not something you should be admitting to the world. Show some self respect Minnow!!!

The Scooby Doo fruit snacks were on sale! By one get one free, how could I pass that up? I'm on a grad student salary you know.

Ha ha ha!! Nice, minnow, real nice. Yeah, I agree with alpha. The fruit snacks are the best thing you've got there.

It's easy to think of fruit snacks as fruit, but most of them probably don't even contain fruit juice.

But, mmmmmm, the gelatin. There was a big debate at my desk job over whether or not gelatin is derived from hooves. They took it to the pros by calling Jello's customer service number. They were informed that there were no hooves in Jello gelatin. They were told it comes from melting fat and stuff out of skin, like when you cook a turkey on Thanksgiving and then let all the juice in the pan turn to jelly... or as the people at Jello call it: "Gobbleberry."

I think in the old days gelatin was derived from hooves and bones....They probably boiled the same stuff out of the hooves and bones that they get from the fat...

I checked last night - the number one ingredient: Fruit Juice!

Yay, they're healthy enough. But even if they weren't, they're oh so tasty.
