Always look on the bright side of life

We've all heard the phrase "take time to stop and smell the roses." It seems like good advice, but how often do we really do it? I realized yesterday that I haven't been out of Vegas since June. Not even to go hiking in some of the wilderness areas that are within an hour's drive. It just seems like there's too much to do sometimes, and it's too easy to get caught up in doing those things.

Since my life is only going to get more hectic during the next five weeks I've decided to make a conscious effort to pay attention to the little things that make life beautiful. For instance, have you ever noticed how pretty the light is when it sparkles off a stream of urine while you're peeing in a urinal?

By the way, how many people now have the song from The Life of Brian stuck in their head?

Only when the sunlight hits it just right...and depending on how dehydrated you are...the more golden, the better...
