Tomorrow morning I'm going to Mr M's school for a parent-teacher conference. Friday he brought home a note from his teacher. It read:
"Appropriate Dress Attire For Parent Volunteers/Visitors
When volunteering/visiting at [School's Name], parents are expected to wear attire that reflects the boundaries outlined in the [School's] Dress Regulation for students. We ask that parents do not wear spaghetti straps, shorts or skirts that are shorter than fingertip length, or clothing that exposes the midriff and/or the chest area."
The fact that they send this note home tells me they've had trouble with parents showing up in inappropriate attire. This being Vegas, I can only assume there are strippers with children at the school. Seriously, I have got to meet some of the other students' mothers.

Maybe you could volunteer to help the kindergarten students out.
:)
That way their Mom's would still be in your age range.
:)
Or would that make them too close to Tortellini's age?
I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU to wear a spaghetti strap.
Gotta be some hot stripper moms. LOOK IN TO IT !
Even with the note you showed up with a spaghetti strap top that bared your midriff?
Since my school is at the beach, the mothers come in all sorts of attire -- especially the ones that are going to the "club" to "work out."
You would love it.
yeah go with your midriff exposed.......bwahahaha
I think that something that shows your chest might be most appropriate, in case you run into one of the stripper moms. However, since they forbid them to wear those things, they will now be harder to point out!!
How come a guy's is called a gut and a woman's is called a "midriff?"
Well I've never heard of a school telling the parents what to wear. Bloody control freaks.
Don't worry, I think you've lived in Vegas long enough to spot a stripper even if she's dressed neck to knees in Quaker wear.
That note says nothing about thong bathing suits. So...
if parents potentially wear that to a confernece, can you imagine what they wear to the school picnic?
Ha! In my elementary school days, I remember classmates getting dropped off by their stripper moms.
We all thought they had some great gear... easpecially when it was 1) shiny! or 2)a nice pair of tall, clear platforms.
"When I grow up, I'm gonna buy me some of those!!"
Only in Vegas...
