It's okay to eat fish 'cause they don't have any feelings

I went out with a friend for all you can eat sushi the other night. Normally he orders everything, but this time he handed me the pencil and menu and told me to do it since I was "all grown up" now. I marked down the rolls that I knew we both like, but then started reading the descriptions for the chef's specials. I read a couple that sounded good to me, and my friend agreed.

Friend: Yeah, those sound good, order one of each of those.

Me: I don't see them on the list.

Friend: Oh, they're not on there. You have to write the specials down at the bottom of the sheet.

Me: Ah, I see. But I have to say, I feel a little dirty ordering a 'man whore' followed by a 'wet dream.'

Friend: Why? Because it's a Thursday night, and you typically only go for that stuff on Fridays?

Ha -- what kind of sushi roll is a man whore? Or a wet dream?

mmm. I think I need sushi now. I just have to get it without the seaweed crap. Ick! Just thinking about it is making me gag.

crab and avocado - I don't know what that one is called, but it's my favorite.

Please, I need to know what's in a man whore!!

I bet it's eel with special sauce.

I'm don't remember exactly, but the man whore was like a baked salmon with eel sauce (and it was kinda gross) and the wet dream is salmon and cream cheese topped with shrimp and drizzled with some sort of sweet sauce (and is possibly my favorite roll ever).

Anomalie, is it the place on Flamingo and Maryland in that ghetto shopping center? I find that a lot of the sushi places here in town have sexual names for their food. I don't know if that's a Vegas thing or a universal thing b/c my entire sushi education has been here.

All you can eat Sushi sounds a little suspect, as does the names... are you SURE this is a real sushi place?

hahaha, that's the place!
The name thing I have only really seen at Yama. I usually see sushi with street names (not ideal, if you ask me) or the more common names (caterpillar, dragon, etc or straight up "chef special 1, 2, 3").
Funny to see you eat sushi now! (Yama converted me 100%)
