Celebrate good times, come on!

Yesterday was Togers' birthday. My ex-wife said she asked Mr M in the morning if he'd wished Togers a happy birthday. Mr M said that he hadn't, because he "wasn't celebrating [Togers'] birthday."

Later, when it was time for cake and ice cream, Mr M insisted that he didn't want any cake, just ice cream. I asked him about it this morning. He didn't want any cake, because that would've been celebrating Togers birthday.

So if you were ever wondering where to draw the line between celebrating something and not celebrating, it's this:

Cake and ice cream = celebrating

Just ice cream = not celebrating

You're welcome!

Apparently I never celebrate, because let's be honest, ice cream trumps cake!

(Unless it's fabulous cake, and birthday cake usually isn't)

He never said why, just that he wasn't going to celebrate Togers' birthday for another two years. He's a funny kid.

If you put cake or ice cream in front of me, I'll have it. I will celebrate the hell out of Celibacy Awareness Month or Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome Awareness Month. I hear that Yell "Fudge" at Cobras in North America Day is coming up. I guess what I am saying is that I want cake.

What did Togers say about it? (Your kids are endlessly amusing and adorable. Probably why I have creepy dreams about them all the time?)

maybe he's hoping that if he doesn't celebrate it for a few years he'll have a chance to catch up in age - i'm not sure that's worth the sacrifice of cake though

That kid is good at splitting hairs. How old is everyone now?
